Accessibility Statement for Homewise

This is an accessibility statement from Energy Saving Trust.

Measures to support accessibility

Energy Saving Trust takes the following measures to ensure accessibility of Homewise:

  • Include accessibility as part of our mission statement
  • Include accessibility throughout our internal policies
  • Provide accessibility education for our staff
  • Assign accessibility goals and responsibilities

Conformance status

The Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) defines requirements for designers and developers to improve accessibility for people with disabilities. It defines three levels of conformance: Level A, Level AA, and Level AAA.

Homewise is partially conformant with WCAG 2.2 level AA. Partially conformant means that some parts of the content do not fully conform to the accessibility standard.

We try to make our site more accessible by using:

  • easier-to-read colours
  • larger fonts
  • plain English
  • keyboard only navigation

How accessible this website is

We know some parts of this website are not fully accessible:

  • Some focus states do not have sufficient contrast with the background when using keyboard only.
  • Our registration form does not indicate required fields as clearly as they might.
  • There are a few errors with keyboard only-access that skip fields and requires you to backtrack to select an item.

Feedback

We welcome your feedback on the accessibility of Homewise. Please let us know if you encounter accessibility barriers on Homewise:

We try to respond to feedback within 5 working days.

This statement was created on 9 June 2025 using the W3C Accessibility Statement Generator Tool.
